The story of Bus 142

I am Brazilian, only the little time I heard the story of Christopher McCandless, identified myself with her, loved the book and the movie.
Researched a lot about it, but would love to discover the history of Bus 142.
If someone can answer me .......
In that year the bus was left there, who took and why?
Had a road that came to the site?
And Cris, got there through the same path that is used today by the adventurers?
