Transport from Fairbanks to Stampede trail?

Hello, my buddy and i am planning our journey to the Magic bus 142 
But ar wondering about the transport from Fairbanks, we live in the North
of Sweden and will arrive by airplane to Fairbanks. What is the best way of
transport to the trail? Rent a car or maybe buy one? Or does someone
have anny other idea?
