Hi, My name is Nick and i live in Surrey, England... the story of Chris Mccandless resonated with me so much it has had a profound effect on my outlook on like and for that i am gratefull to him and his story.
To cut a long story short i would like to make a trip out to Alaska and to Bus 142 to pay my respects and to see the surrounding area in which Chris chose to spend a very significant part of his life.
If there are any groups planning a trip in 2011 or 2012 i would be very happy to come along if you would have me.
Im not sure why i feel so compelled to travel half way round the world to visit this place but im sure many of you can understand the feeling.
i would be really pleased to hear from any of you...

i'm going over through 4 time zones to get to the bus this summer myself. i expect to be there [at the bus] some time between july 1st or july 2nd. maybe we'll bump into each other on the trail

Are you travelling alone ellisd or as part of a group, or are you chosing to do this by youreself?
I had wanted to do this on my own and experience the solitude but the obvious dangers of trekking alone is the reason i am looking for a group to travel with...

I have lots of things going on at the moment but would really consider joining you around the 2nd/3rd july...
are you trekking or catching a helicopter?

I am really interested in planning a trip to the Bus in 2011 or 2012...
I will be travelling from London, England and would like to find others who would like to join a trip as im not keen on making the entire journey alone.

I am also planning to try and visit the bus from the UK this summer , and will be making the trip to Alaska primarily for this purpose , I found a nick paris on facebook and sent a friend request , dunno if that was you or not.
