**edit** after finishing into the wild audiobook today at work [for the ump-teenth time] i really think it is potato seeds, or mushrooms/berries he might have picked as well.

okey, I get the impression that whatver was inside the can is still there. Witch makes me conclude pot from possible findings...
but really, just spill it!
