Hi Forum,
There has been a few requests for information about the Christopher Johnson McCandless Memorial Foundation.
I have written to some different organisations to find out if it still exists and where donations can be sent.
I have not heard anything back as yet, but will post information on the site and forum when this becomes available.
In 1996, Villard Books organised this fund and donations could be sent to their business address, but I am trying to confirm if this is still the case (although I doubt it) Their details were: The Chris McCandless Memorial Fund, c/o Villard Books, 201 East 50th Street, New York, NY 10022.
So, watch this space.
Cheers,
Admin.

I believe url for the Christopher Johnson McCandless Memorial Foundation (CJMMF) is:
http://www.chrisspurpose.org/Chriss_Purpose/index.html
or probably just www.chrisspurpose.org.

Mr Verdant Green,
Thanks very much for your posts. It is great to finally see the Memorial Fund's details and information.
I will add this information to the site itself, so others can easily find it and contribute.

Actually I think I have not really understood what this foundation is about.
After all that we know about his story, wouldn't "Chris's purpose" rather be something like warning parents not to lie to their children?
