Hi everyone, this is a thread to invite people to share with me the titles of books that reflect the beauty and value of the solitary life, the peaceful, reflective energetic life that Chris would have been inspired by.
The obvious one that I know of is Walden by Henry David Thoreau. And Call of the Wild of course, by Jack London, and I guess some books by Jack Kerouac. Can anyone else add to this list? (Anyone want to make a little book club reading this books and discussing them? If we did we’d need a name.... Macandless Book Club?
I want to read what he was reading, and learn the perspective he gained in his intellectual endeavors. Anyone else?
What books would Chris have been inspired by?
Re: What books would Chris have been inspired by?
Hi!
I'd love to start reading the books Chris read (and/or one's he might have been inspired by) and be apart of a book club, sounds like a wonderful idea
Here is a picture I took out of his sister's book, The Wild Truth, it's all the books that Chris had available to him while in the bus and he read a few of them during his time there.
