Great article, Steve. Thanks for steering me to it and the interesting website it is on- foragersharvest.com Maybe I didn't read the article carefully enough but I don't think I saw any mention of the mushrooms Chris was eating. There are clear photos of the poisonous amanita mescaria (sp?) which Chris had collected. And in his "journal" I believe the largest entry is the word "DREAMS" followed by a reference to mushrooms he had eaten. He wrote about them two days in a row. Yet, I've seen no scientific reference to the mushrooms as a contributing factor to Chris's death...

Husky,
You're most welcome, and your point regarding the mushrooms is a good one indeed. However, I don't think the mushrooms were a threat, if they were why wouldn't they have been sent to a lab as the potato plants were to be tested etc.?
There is certainly no denying that the "Dreams" entry and the mushrooms consumption was somewhat ignored.
Great website though! I'd love to pick up a few of those DVDs offered on it.

I dont believe that the origin of M343 was in Asia. It has to to be somewhere west of the Ukraine, home of R1a.
What is your thoughts on the TMRCA for M343?
