Did Chris make a good decision?

The question is whether or not Chris made a good decision by going out to live in the wild, leaving his out life behind. There are two possible simple answers to this question: yes or no. This is all based on opinion, but the real response to the question lies in the explanation as to why he did or did not make a good choice. I personally believe chris did not make a good decision going out into the wild like he did. He had a full life ahead of him, having graduated college, a family that loves him, and apparently a decent amount of friends. He got good grades at school and could have easily gone out and made a career right then. That is just my opinion.
