Chris McCandless on "California Gold" Huel Howser

I am not sure but I happened to be watching pbs tonight and it was about Mono Lake. I had known McCandles traveled in the area. In one part of the show Huel Howser waves to a guy swimming in the lake and asks him to come talk to him. There the unidentified swimmer goes on to tell him about his swim and how his car had broken down. It might of been Chris McCandless. I am not sure but it might of been him, It was the Mono Lake eppisode with Huel Howser on California Gold.
