is this possible? he didnt blindly walk into the wilderness. he had a road map of the area, which i believe showed the stampede trail. it also might have shown that the stampede trail is nestled between the boundaries of denali national park. in the book it said hunters know this is a good section to hunt because its basically inside the park, is it possible chris knew this? he might have been told about the bus by some locals.

I truly don't think so, it was said he didn't have a map he made his own of the area he was in. Chris literally just walked blindly in the wilderness of Alaska with the intention of living off the land.
