For those interested,

I just asked Tracy if she knew when the Animal Planet special is set to air and she indicated that the project is still in the film cutting stage... so no date yet, but she will let people know as soon as she knows.

IMO Jon Krakauer not tracking Tracy down was a BIG hole in his research. He must have figured that it would be impossible to track her down. By my reckoning, if she was 17 in 1991 she'd be 37 or 38 today. How did her life turn out? The Reno police are frequently rescuing kids of tramps from exploitation, and they find that the kids have virtually no education at all. Can't really read, write, do math. Was that the case with Tracy, that she wasn't educated? If so, how did she overcome it?
