Some say Chris has lived more in those 2 years than some people live in an entire life. What do you think?

I think he did, there's no telling what he experienced while on the road. I bet he had lots of fun and experienced more in those two years than we will in our whole life.

I have watched the movie and discussed about it in school. I think it is a great movie and I was really impressed. I agree with you, that Chris has lived more in those two years than some people live in an entire life. He experienced a lot in those two years. Chris wasn't happy with his old life and it was the only way for him to really start his life. During the time in the wilderness he was happier than ever before. Although he died at the end, he didn't regret his plan to go into the wild. It was a short time, but it was the time of his life. Other people live a long life, but they are unhappy, because they don't follow their dreams. I think it's better to have a short and happy life, than a long, unhappy life. Of course, some people are happy with their "normal life", so not everyone should go into the wild!
