origin of final quote in the movie
origin of final quote in the movie
does anyone know for sure if the final voice-over quote in Sean Penn's film is from Chris McCandless's journals? the lines: "what if I were smiling...and running into your arms...would you see then what I see now"
Re: origin of final quote in the movie
I'm sure that if Chris had written something like that in his journal, it would have been mentioned by Krakauer in the book.
This whole scene has been made up for the movie. After all, who could know what Chris thought in the last moments of his life?
His last written words were "beautiful blueberries".
