christ didnt DIE from POISON!!!

the movie was wrong, Chris actually died from starvation. in the book it says Chris ate the potato seeds for a month or so without any problems at all, and could differenciate between the two. and later a study was done and concluded that Chris DID NOT die from the potato seeds, but from a steady decline into starvation, leading to death. Why did John Krakauer and Sean Penn portray chris' death as being poisoned?

they did it for Hollywood and to save Chris's reputation .

thats rediculous, why wouldnt they just tell the truth?? that would make it a more credible movie if they stuck to their guns, i mean this movie is for a small minority of people, dealing with non conformist vagabonders isnt exactly on Hollywoods A-List for movies these days, and im sure the government wouldn't want to encourage kids to deviate from their "american dream" robotic, apathetic lifestyle.
so why not just have Chris' death be a tale of starvation, not poison?
