Why would he bury a gun?

Postby Kerlin_2 » Thu Dec 19, 2013 2:34 pm

If you bury your gun, you are going to ruin it! If dirt gets in the mechanism it will not fire anymore. But does his gun work after he retrieves it? Why wouldn't he take a bigger gun than a .22? That was his first mistake and his second mistake was burying it. Maybe people will learn from mistakes he has made.

It does not seem strange for a man walking to bury his weapon if he enters a new town. Why bury your weapon because what would people expect a man walking around with a loaded gun it would worry people. It may have effected the mechanics of the gun but if he cleaned it then it would of not have. Know body knows the real reason to why he did it but there can be many reasons. Chris had a mind of his own and he did what he wanted to do he was a rebel and he was non materialistic.

I think the reason he only brought a .22 was because he wanted nature to have a fair chance. He liked a challenge and trying to kill dinner with nothing but a .22 was a challenge.
