Into The Wild Novel

Do You believe the author should have written this novel in more then one point of view? Maybe telling the story of his loved ones, more information as to what they were feeling when Chis decided to run off without contacting them and purposley and leaving them nothing behind rather than worry. I feel that if he had written more about what Chris' loved ones were feeling, such as his sister who was very close to him the readers would have felt remorse for them, and realized how dangerous what he was doing was. It was very unrealisitic that he would have survived as much as he did given that he wasn't a farmboy, nor the greatest hunter or outdoorsman. Do you think you would have been more interested in the novel if more point of views were expressed?
