New here.. I have some thoughts concerning the plant book

The book is at fault partly to Chris's death in my opinion. The book claims that the plant (wild potato) that poisoned him was not toxic. The plants stems were edible but the seeds were not. Chris did not know this. The book failed to mention it.

It looks like you believed what the movie showed. Chris didnt actually die from eating the poisonous seeds. his diary showed that he had eaten wild potatoes without any problems, maybe an upset stomach only. Chris actually died from starvation as the autopsy showed, Alaska becomes uninhabited during the winter and thus affected chris negativly when it came to finding food.
the movie showed us that he died from food poisoning simply to make the conclusion more intense and exciting. showing the truth is not in hollywood's nature. i hope you understand
