Hi,
I would like to know if the real Christopher McCandless actually wrote this quote in a book, of if it is something that was added for the film?
Thank you, Chloe

Re: happiness is only real when shared quote
Greetings,
I'm only guessing by my memory of the movie, but it might be a quote by Tolstoy. Search online for quotes and I'm sure you'll get the answer you're looking for. I had a person who had many an adventure and left her diary during WWll. She was Anne Frank and she said, 'How wonderful it is that nobody wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.' I searched for Anne Frank quotes and up came a hundred or so. Best of luck to you. Hurley

I thought it was one of Christopher's quotes. In any case, what a nice quote. Feels very true.
