Re: A few more questions...

Tim welcome to the forum.
Allow me to clarify right here and now that I simply find the license plate and bus numbers an interesting coincidence and nothing more. Nice Floyd comparison though (great album too).
Im not sure what the Star Trek statement means/meant. (Im not a trekkie)

Re: Christopher's diary

Hi Nina, I just found your question. Forgive my delayed response. First, welcome to the forum. Second, I'm going to assume that you are referring to Chris' journal, and if that's, in fact, what you are referring to, then your answer is yes. There is a copy of his daily journal (that was written as a...

Here is the video via youtube I was referring to. For those of you who have not seen this video, I highly recommend you take the time to do so.

Re: Ultimate freedom

Ok, Anewanddifferentsun, how would you correct or establish the timeline regarding when Carine moved out as well as when Chris wrote that letter to her? Also, do you think as I do that Chris wrote and sent Carine postcards during his travels? I've never been able to shake the thought that he did. If...

Re: Ultimate freedom

I THINK what was meant about "Shortly before he disappeared" ...refers to 2 summers prior to Chris' leaving after graduating college. Hmm I wouldn't say that was "shortly after" though. He found out that when he was born, his father was still legally married to his first wife. A...

Re: Ultimate freedom

Those are great points Anewanddifferentsun. Great points indeed. In fact, those have been in my notes as questions too for quite some time. Im surprised it's taken this long for these questions to arise from all of those who wonder about the holes that remain in this story. I continue to wonder abou...

Re: Spirituality and the natural world.

"Chris died living." is probably the best line I've ever read written about him. A pure succinct definition.

Re: A few more questions...

No problem Fred. You and EllisD are the only other people I've known to catch that multiple pose. At one point, I thought there was different script written on the "god bless all" note too. My pal Erik zoomed in on the image and used his master computer skills to determine conclusively tha...

Re: A few more questions...

Hey Fred, I didn't realize you and I made the same discovery regarding the final pic. That's very interesting that you believe it's three poses. I've noticed two so far. Do you think that was intentional or perhaps the camera setting was on burst (snapping multiple shots) by accident etc.? Anyway, H...

Re: Carine McCandless is writing a memoir...

I moved my answer over to the other thread Fred. Paso- I'd say they all give to the story in their own way. The Ron Lamothe documentary is very interesting and worth watching. Some inaccuracies throughout, but, you can tell he put a great deal of hard work into it. The 'Back to the Wild' book and DV...
