Re: In regard to Chris and his Hollywood legacy
I've never watched Penn's movie and I won't. Hollywood removes all of the truth out of everything. I watched the movie 'into the wild' on Netflix and If you didn't read the book, you would have no idea of what was going on in this film or what was really at stake with Chris, in other words, the trut...

Re: What do you think about Chris going into the wild?
I think he was a leader and an inspiration to many. I appreciate his determination and the fact that a book was written about his exploits which have helped me immensely. He will live on for a long, long time.

Re: How did you find the book? Where were you?

I had a person who had many an adventure and left her diary during WWll. She was Anne Frank and she said, 'How wonderful it is t...

There have been countless Chris's
I have found that by reading 'Into thin air" and by watching many Youtube videos on Everest and K2 tragedies, that Chris's desires are no different than many others. I have planned my life off Chris's example and many others too. Chris may have lived off poets and philosophers, which is importa...

Re: Your trip, your story?
My trip started in 2014 and I hope it never ends. I need to start and run a nonprofit in Anchorage, AK where I'll teach the homeless to manufacture outdoor gear and clothing. This may not be the trip you are referring to, but it's the only one I have presently. many years ago I wanted to kayak from ...
